Best Camera Phones

We all strive for a smartphone that serves dual purpose so that we won’t have to carry a camera everywhere. Besides it, who remembers to charge camera batteries nowadays? Not me for sure. So, here I bring to you some smartphones which feature the best cameras so you can just click good photos and share instantly.

Nokia Lumia 1020:

Best Camera Phones

Nokia Lumia still stands at no.1 like last year. It offers great quality pictures in terms of resolution because of the whopping 41 MP camera. Next deal is at half the number of megapixels. Carl Zeiss optics and OIS feature provide the most lavish camera you can expect in a smartphone. Full HD video recording in made possible. Only disadvantage is that camera is a bit slow for continuous shots and only 1.2 MP front camera is provided.

Additionally, 1920x1080 pixel of resolution is given for video recording. So it improves the quality of recording and images which is the topmost for this smartphone. Features like Geo tagging, face detection improves the interest of user for the smartphone.

In the 2nd quarter of the year Sony had released its new flagship as Sony Xperia Z2 an updated version of Sony Xperia Z1. Its 5.2 inches of screen gives you better view of photos. Samsung galaxy S5 k Zoom:

Best Camera Phones

Samsung galaxy S5 k zoom has an added advantage of speed. Time between two photos and focus time is least as compared to other phones. Samsung is far better than lumia and xperia for that matter. Want a DSLR like pic? Samsung has featured selective zoom in its camera to produce a similar effect (shallow depth of feel effect). 10x optical zoom and OIS feature account for a good camera.

It’s the latest flagship launched by Samsung with 10x optical zoom facility. It works like a professional DSLR camera which would attract the users because they will get professional camera embedded with Smartphone.

Apple Iphone 5s:

Best Camera Phones

Apple Iphone 5s takes excellent videos in both slow and fast motion. A Sapphire crystal lens cover helps achieve a good quality photograph. True tone helps to smoothen out the skin tones. The camera performs well in well lit conditions,  with accurate colours and nice detailing. In sunlight though, detailing makes a compromise. Potential disadvantage is that there is no optical image stabilization, so shaky hands won’t give you contenting images.

It has only 8 mp sensor so picture quality won’t be satisfying but they’ve improvised on the camera app to aid picture quality. Video recording is also better with 720p @120fps as compared to 1080p@ 30fps.

OnePlus One:

Best Camera Phones

If you don’t want to spend too much, one plus one comes to rescue. This phone offers a 13 megapixel Sony Exmor IMX214 camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual LED flash and 4K video recording. It can click nice photos even in low light conditions. Six lenses assure a precise photo without distortion and an impressive detailing. This phone has killer specs at half the price of phones offering these. A pretty good phone to look out for apart from the camera perspective.

The camera application is customized by CyanogenMod 11 OS (mobile OS based on Android Kitkat). OnePlus has made CyanogenMod pre-installed so it reduces labor of installation. Though the camera has a lot of room for improvement, the phone itself offers some cutting edge features like powerful Snapdragon 801 processor, 2.5GHz Quad-Core CPU; 5.5 inch 1080p screen (makes a great gaming and multimedia experience).

Basic Features:

Conclusion:

All smartphones have their own functionality and all are good in their price range. Personally if I were to buy one of these I would go for OnePlus One because of the value for money. It comes in a package of Sony Exmor lens, one of the best in the market, dual LED flash and 4k video recording which is quite impressive. Six lenses instead of the the regular five prove OnePlus has gone an extra mile to improve phone photography without compromising cost.

If there was no money constraint I would go for Samsung galaxy s5 Zoom. It will let me click fast pictures, not having to wait for focusing the zoom or for the phone to reset before clicking another picture. OIS feature will assure that speed is not accompanied by blurry photos. One drawback could be the lower resolution of pictures. But the picture quality with shallow depth of feel effect will not make me resent that.

Nokia Lumia 1020 is also a great option given its high resolution of pictures owing to the 41Mp and carl zeiss optics. It provides excellent video recording with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Though it might be a bit of disappointment for all selfie obsessed users because of the 2 MP front camera.

There is one more Smartphone in the list i.e. the latest flagship launched by HTC known as HTC One M8. It has 2 rear camera and 1 front camera. It is also called as Duo camera smartphone. Its first rear camera is used for taking images whereas second rear camera is used for measuring the depth of the object for better pics.

    1. Although, Lumia 930 has OIS feature and iphone doesn't but iphone has true tone which facilitates pictures with good balance and makes them look realistic. It depends on you which feature you want to give more weightage !!
